I'm formally trained in graphic design and art has always directed my decisions. Over the years have received awards, sales, commission requests and more recently awarded APANZ an artist member honour award within the New Zealand pastel community.

In 2017 I recorded a television episode of 'Colour In Your Life' showcasing my mixed media portrait technique (see below). My passion is to share what I've learned to encourage others with their art. This has seen me work alongside rural art initiatives taking practising artists into schools to inspire the next generation. Seeing a need within my local community, I created local life drawing sessions inspiring others to get involved in the benefits of sketching from life. This practise was grounded in my weekly Plein air painting habit that started in 2022 in New Zealand's South Island and continues today in Australia.

I’ve worked within the arts to lend my graphic design skills in supporting organisations that champion art within the community.

Today, I continue to paint demonstrating, encouraging and coaching other artists on their journey.
