Portraits
Portraits are my favourite thing to paint and I'm always looking for the best technique to capture the unique story a face can tell. I have used acrylic paint, soft pastels, ink, mixed media (sometimes all of these) to help portray what makes these people special.

 The BoysOnce again I turned my hand to a portrait of my family; this time my sons. Painted as a gift for my parents-inlaw as a reminder of their grandsons visit to their rural home. I was interested in the enveloping effect of the textural hay bales in the negative spaces as well as broad use of brush strokes.
